WHY ATTEND?

This is a premium full day leadership briefing for leaders carrying real responsibility. It is built around a question many organisations are wrestling with now: how to lead well when the environment is harder to read, pressure is high, and people are looking to leadership for steadiness, direction and trust.

Through a carefully curated day of leadership briefings, moderated discussions and panel conversations, the event will explore what strong leadership requires.

Delegates will leave with sharper judgement, clearer communication, and a stronger understanding of how to lead, align teams and uphold standards when conditions are demanding.

WHAT DOES STRONG LEADERSHIP REQUIRE?

The challenge facing leaders right now is not simply managing pressure. It is leading with the highest standards through it.

Leadership That Holds is built around that reality. Across one immersive day, the conversation will move from the individual leader, to the team they shape, to the culture they create. The focus is practical, grounded and directly relevant to the leadership demands many organisations are facing now.

WHAT THE DAY WILL COVER

We will explore:

-
the character and behaviours that define the individual leader
-
what teams need from leadership when expectation rises
-
how trust, standards and accountability shape collective performance
-
what leaders must uphold so that culture holds
-
what pressure demands of leaders, teams and systems
-
how organisations strengthen resilience, recovery and long-term capability
THE THREAD

The day is designed as a progression.

Garth Miller opens with the individual leader: the character, composure and behaviours that shape how leadership is experienced.

Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE builds from there into the team: how trust, clarity and shared standards shape collective performance.

Sean Fitzpatrick completes the thread by looking at culture: what leaders must uphold so that values are lived, standards endure and performance does not fade.

MODERATED CONVERSATIONS & PANELS

Charlie Stuart has led across some of the world’s most demanding environments, with a career spanning military service, international diplomacy, corporate law and strategic security. He brings a rare combination of operational credibility, strategic judgement and calm authority to conversations about leadership.

Charlie will moderate the day, guiding the live conversations and connecting the themes across the briefing. His role is to draw out the practical leadership insight behind each session, deepen the discussion where it matters most, and help ensure the conversation stays relevant to the pressures leaders are facing now.

Alongside the featured leadership briefings, the day includes a series of moderated conversations with each lead speaker, as well as two group discussions:

What Pressure Demands of Leaders, Teams and Systems
featuring Rosie Steevenson, Dr Alex Brazier and Farard Darver
