Kevin Sinfield
England Rugby Union Coach | Legendary Leeds Rhinos Captain & CBE

Profile
Kevin Sinfield CBE is a leader whose actions speak far louder than any headline. As the most successful captain in Leeds Rhinos history, he delivered seven Super League titles and earned legendary status in the sport. But it’s what came next that truly defines him.

When his former teammate and close friend Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, Kevin committed to a new kind of endurance. He took on a series of gruelling challenges, running multiple ultramarathons and raising over £15 million — not for recognition but because, built on a deeply rooted promise, it was the right thing to do. His devotion to Rob, and to the wider MND community, has since captured & held the heart of an entire nation.

What he’s done – for Rob, for those living with MND, for anyone questioning whether love and loyalty have limits, shows us what real courage and friendship look like.

Alongside his extraordinary off-field impact, Kevin has built an enormously respected coaching career across both codes of rugby. He played a key role in Leicester Tigers’ Premiership-winning season and now serves as assistant coach to the England national team. His influence extends far beyond tactics; he brings exceptional leadership, culture, clarity, and calm to every environment he enters.

Whether in the changing room or on a national stage, Kevin leads with quiet strength, unwavering values, and a deep sense of loyalty & responsibility to others.
